This is probably my favourite track from the album. It's Dark, brooding and sensuous. The harmony and the double horn lines do it from me.

The first time I heard this track it frightened me. The rhythm section of Haslip and Kennedy are aggressive, driving and relentless. They just wont let up. Even Mintzer's bass clarinet tone is somewhat darker than usual. Thankfully, Ferrante's solo provides a brief relief, but even that mutates into something menacing. Technically it's brilliant, and technically it's from a Bob Mintzer album.

I adore this album 'Arc'. Every track is different in concept and feel to the preceding one. And highlights different facets of Haslip's genius. This track focuses on composition and arrangement. Just listen to those horns. Erskine's stick work on this track surely deserves some kind of award. Impeccable.

Former 'The Time' guitarist and funkster, cries havoc and lets loose the dogs of war, in this 1996 offering. This uncompromising collection of hard rock tunes from the CD 'Bare My Naked Soul', displays Jesse's 'other' side. This is my favourite track.

This one was missed in the rush, and is perhaps the most personal and profound A hauntly simple statement from a former pupil to his teacher. This is my favourite Rippingtons cut. It's so smooth...it doesn't even touch the sides. Patti Austin is in fine form and produces one of the great vocal lines. It's addictive!

The most beautiful piece of music ever... It's heavenly.
First jazz musician I vibed with, and he was, in my opinion, his own genre. Like learning to understand abstract painting, was my journey listening to David Sanborn. A unique musical artist, wish I could have seen him live. I wore out that cassette tape of his first Song album. His music is deeply, soulful and personal. I recently learned more about his collaborations with so many great musicians over the years. Their sound was made better with his saxophone blending and dancing within.

I connected with song the minute I heard it, someone in their comment put up the lyrics.. but the verse that goes " watching and considering my visual state of mind - The flower fragrance revealed to me the sign - The sign of love I have confessed to live and really know - the sign of love I failed my Fellow Man to show " is the message.. referencing a psychedelic experience, and eventually realizing that the power of enlightenment has been shown, but as we have the ability to give love always, sometimes we fail. But The playing is absolutely amazing, and that modulation of the Brass arrangement chromatically is not done by overdubbing that section at faster tape speeds ( on playback it would sound similar) that is the arrangement! Effing killer! EWF stands way above the rest. Peace ❤
